Dear friends and family, shalom,

 

It's the first time in the history of Israel's existence that the world is supporting Israel's action against her enemies.

 

I ask myself, feeling somewhat skeptical, if it's really true that some countries, like America and England are beginning to understand that Israel's enemies are in fact the enemies of civilization.

 

If this is the case then it would indeed be Israel's greatest achievement. Consider for a moment how long it took the world to realize that Nazism was the enemy of every civilized country.

 

Six million Jews had to die before this fact was realized. Now, can it really be that, after 58 years of Israel's existence and some 8 wars and constant threats against Israel's existence the world has come to a new moment of realization?

 

This would sure be bliss if it was true. Just imagine, a civilization marching forward, unthreatened.

 

That was surely the situation that existed only in the Garden of Eden.

 

Israel is not a detriment to the free world, as our enemies like to tell us. On the contrary, Israel is an asset to the free world.

 

The whole world has been held hostage by these misguided enemies, who seek to destroy civilization.

 

Just think for a moment of the two world wars, the wars of the 19th century. Israel didn't exist when those wars were fought and when millions of innocent people died.

 

Israel is fighting the battle for civilization, not just for her right to live as a free Jewish state.

 

Sharon was the first prime minister to understand the universal dimensions of Israel's wars. He withdrew from Gaza (and now Olmert was prepared to withdraw from other parts of Israel, the Jewish Homeland) because he realized that we aren't fighting only for our right to live in freedom and peace, but we are fighting for the right of the whole world to live in freedom and peace.

 
A few Jewish Settlements, no matter however precious to the people who were living there, was a small price to pay for a chance of world peace.

 

The withdrawal demonstrated to the world the emptiness of our enemies' arguments for their military build up.

 

Now the whole world can see what is the real intention of their military preparations.

 

I believe that we have no choice. We are in Israel because we are the Jewish People and only when we're in our own land can we defend the suffering world.

 

We could be somewhere else as Nasrallah would like to imagine. But it's not going to happen. As long as we're in our land the world is a safe place for everybody.

 

Think about in what a bad situation the world was before the Jews returned to Israel.

Our war is for the good of the entire world.

 

We don't only fight with weapons of destruction. We only use those weapons when the good things for the world, which we have helped to develop, are threatened as they always have been in the past.

 

In the past, before the state of Israel was established, those good things were in danger of destruction.

 

There was no country interested enough or strong enough to defend them. Now Israel is here and the enemies of civilization have us to contend with.

 

The world can carry on developing civilization Israel is here.
